For the third consecutive year, Multi X held its Capital Markets Day, an event that gathered various financial market players who, over two days, had the opportunity to gain an in-depth and on-site understanding of the company\u2019s operations and processes, as well as the salmon value chain and its main challenges.<\/p>\n
The visit took place at Multi X\u2019s headquarters in Puerto Montt, where approximately 23 attendees\u2014including representatives from banks, insurance companies, and pension funds\u2014came to learn about the company\u2019s and the industry’s projections for the upcoming year. Additionally, this year’s Capital Markets Day included two discussion panels on strategic topics for the salmon industry, led by renowned experts.<\/p>\n
One of the panels, titled “Trends in Sustainability,” featured Rodrigo Solervicens, Veterinarian and Strategy, Marketing, and Technology Director at Cargill Aquaculture; Cecilia Campos, Industrial Civil Engineer and Sustainability Advisor at Rabobank; and Francisco Lobos, Head of People, Sustainability, and Corporate Affairs at Multi X.<\/p>\n
The second panel, titled “Regulation for the Sustainable Growth of the Salmon Industry”, included M\u00f3nica Cort\u00e9s, Lawyer and Associate at the Ferrada y Nehme law firm; Carlos Odebret, President of the Magallanes Salmon Farmers Association; and Rub\u00e9n Bascu\u00f1\u00e1n, Lawyer and Legal & Compliance Manager at Multi X.<\/p>\n
Cristi\u00e1n Swett, CEO of Multi X, highlighted that \u201cwith this new format, we were able to provide our guests with a comprehensive view of salmon farming and address, from diverse perspectives, the key regulatory and reputational issues impacting salmon production\u201d.<\/p>\n
Additionally, presentations and lectures were given by experts from both Multi X and other companies. During the first day, Multi X S.A.\u2019s third-quarter financial results were presented. Eduardo Waldron, General Manager of Multisea, explained the fundamentals and key challenges of Post Smolt farming operations using RAS technology. On the second day, Jos\u00e9 Miguel de la Cuadra, Sourcing Manager at Biomar, presented on “Feed Price Expectations,” while Fernando P\u00e9rez, Commercial and Marketing Manager at Multi X, shared insights under the title “Salmon Market Outlook”.<\/p>\n
Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Guti\u00e9rrez del Pedregal, CFO at Multi X, emphasized that \u201cthis event is of great value to our company, as it allows us to transparently discuss the key factors driving our business, such as sustainability, regulation, and future expectations on topics like market prices and feed costs\u201d.<\/p>\n
Capital Markets Day is an event organized by Multi X aimed at providing company and industry projections, strengthening relationships with financial sector players, and enhancing understanding of the salmon industry’s value chain, complexities, and challenges.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s event included a visit to the company’s Fresh and Frozen Plant in Puerto Montt. Executives also toured the Remote Feeding Center, from which Multi X centrally feeds approximately 60% of its seawater farming sites\u2014an operation currently undergoing expansion.<\/p>\n
